The Monarch HSG Catheter is a sterile, single-use product ideal for use in Hysterosalpingography and Sonohysterography procedures. The Monarch HSG Catheters are used to infuse a fluid (either a contrast media or a sterile saline) into the uterine cavity while blocking the external cervical OS to retain the fluid in the uterus during the procedure. Available in both a 5 French and 7 French outer diameter, Monarch Medical Products, Inc. offers the traditional flexible catheter, as well as a firm catheter. The firm Monarch HSG Catheters are great for difficult cases where patients present with cervical stenosis. Stylets are also available to provide added rigidity and universally fit inside all Monarch HSG Catheters. The Monarch HSG Catheters are indicated to evaluate the causes of abnormal uterine bleeding, menstrual disorders, recurring pregnancy loss, or unexplained infertility. They can also be used to assess uterine pathology and patients on tamoxifan therapy.
